Lynn Colingham
Fundamentally, my work remains in the realm of the person. This can relate to physical presence, anatomy, personality, or a person’s role in society. All of these things interest me and commonly overlap and influence each other.

My work ranges from large-scale paintings to small-scale drawings and etchings. My focus is acrylic painting but I enjoy working with ink, graphite, several printmaking processes, sculpture, photography, encaustic, and watercolor. I participate in the tradition of figurative painting and anatomical illustration, attempting to examine what makes a body unique and dynamic as well as how social consciousness can enrich or degrade our interpretations of figure and form.
